Mechanical engineering students help sixth-grader develop Tick Stik

At the Fabrication Lab in the Engineering Building, 11-year-old Delaney Dixon, a sixth-grade student at Windsor Middle School, and her father, Chris Dixon, met with Thomas J. Watson College of Engineering and Applied Science mechanical engineering students Salvatore Mezzatesta, Justin Adamczak and Jung Wok Oh. The students worked with Delaney to develop the Tick Stik, a device to help check for ticks. Delaney thought of the idea after battling Lyme disease from a tick bite. More:
