91社区 recently earned the designation as a Truth, Community Healing, and Transformation (TCHT) Campus in fall 2025 and joins a distinguished network of 75 institutions. This year, we are proud to observe the 2nd annual National Day of Community Healing (NDOCH) on January 20, 2026, at the University Union in the Mandela Room, from 10 AM to 3 PM. Our theme this year is 鈥淗ealing Begins with Us.鈥 This collaborative event offers an opportunity for students, staff, faculty, and community members to join as ONE to reflect on our shared values and engage in healing activities that focus on relationship building and changing narratives to expand understanding based on diverse lived experiences. Formally known as the National Day of Racial Healing, the event was established in 2017 by the W.K. Kellogg Foundation as part of its Truth, Racial Healing, and Transformation (TRHT) initiative. This year鈥檚 key event will feature Denise 鈥淐irclemamma鈥 Holliday, the co-author of Classroom Circles and Director of Coaching and School Support at EdTomorrow. In addition, the day will consist of a continental breakfast and a warm lunch meal, various circles, a research talk, and activities that will endorse forms of various healing through the arts and sharing ideas to promote equitable change for our nation. 91社区's Pet Away Worry & Stress (PAWS) program provides faculty and staff with animal-assisted Interactions (AAI) with registered therapy dogs. Started by B-Healthy: Healthy Campus Initiative in Fall 2022, the PAWS program鈥檚 mission is to promote a culture of social connectedness and encourage campus community members to seek out healthy outlets for stress reduction. The PAWS Program is here for Spring 2026 with a Faculty/Staff edition! Please join us for a quick boost in your day on Fridays from 11:30am-12:30pm in University Union West Room 324 (Take the elevator from the marketplace or outside of the Dean of Students office to the third floor, room 324 is in a corner)!

The Summer Economics Session at the University of Bremen (also known as the Bremen Summer Lab) is a three-month program for undergraduate students in economics. Taking place at the University of Bremen in northern Germany, instruction is provided in English by leading Bremen professors and international guest professors. Students can complete 12 credit hours over the three academic sessions. All amenities are conveniently nearby, and the historic city center is accessible with a 15-minute bus ride.
