The Lion Foundation is seeking a team of 6-10 volunteers to staff the free tax preparation (VITA) site at the American Civic Association. We need volunteers to serve as tax preparers, greeters/screeners, computer specialists and interpreters. Ethics and tax preparation training is required and will be provided as part of the volunteer role. Training will qualify volunteers to serve as tax preparers through the VITA site and outside of this role. Additional training and professional development is available to volunteers, including topics such as retirement and real estate.
This volunteer experience is an excellent way to provide a service to your community will building a portfolio of unique skills and knowledge that can be added to your resume and applied outside of your volunteer role.

Training Required:
Yes - Tax preparation and ethics training is required and will be provided as part of the volunteer experience. With this training, volunteers will be qualified to volunteer for the VITA site and qualified to prepare taxes outside of this role.
