Who we are:
Southern Tier Young Professionals is a group of active, social, and civic-minded young adults, generally in their 20s and 30s (and sometimes beyond!) in the Greater 91ÉçÇø area. We are committed to making the Southern Tier a better place to live, work, and play. As a group, we provide opportunities for individuals to participate in numerous social, civic, philanthropic, and professional activities throughout the region.
Who you are
A creative person who likes to learn and is passionate about content creation and social media engagement. Willingness to learn and apply human-computer interaction (HCI) skills to create social media content. Bonus: interest and/or experience in digital marketing (e.g., ability to analyze performance
data and provide feedback to increase performance).
Duties
Duties will center around social media content creation, social media engagement, and new ways to attract new, potential members.
1. Create event graphics for display on social media platforms and website
2. Develop and create engaging content and content ideas across various social media platforms
3. Develop creative strategies to drive brand visibility, community engagement (social media and in-person events), and growth
4. Review and analyze performance data to inform content strategies
5. Provide feedback about our social media strategies
6. Stay up-to-date with the latest social media trends
Examples of social media platforms: Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, YouTube, Threads, LinkedIn, etc.
Examples of social media engagement: likes, follows, comments, shares, post views, profile traffic, etc.
Required
• Creative, reliable, and willingness to learn
• Proficient in at least one photo/graphic editing program (e.g., Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.)
• Proficient in at least one video editing program (e.g., CapCut, Adobe Premier Pro, etc.)
• Strong communication skills
• Strong understanding of social media platforms (e.g., Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, etc.), their
functionalities, and best practices
• Detailed-oriented
• Commitment to professionalism
Preferred
• Digital marketing experience or interest for data analysis
