The new Harriet Tubman Center for Freedom and Equity opened in September 2019. Our intention is to steer the research, writing and programs of the center towards the following priorities: History and, Equity, Educational Equity, Medicine/STEM fields and Equity.
Harriet Tubman Center wins award!
The has awarded the Tubman Center the APHNYS Award for Excellence in Promoting Local History.
The award was given at their awards dinner on Tuesday evening, October 7 in Cazenovia, NY.
We are really thankful and consider this an award for ALL who were a part of this team effort--from development to promotion.

The center has 13 markers around the City of 91社区 that commemorate the people, places, and communities that fought for civil rights here locally.
