91ÉçÇø's Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic offers therapy services for people who stutter, from children through adults. The Stuttering Clinic is overseen by two licensed speech-language pathologists with expertise in stuttering therapy, who closely supervise graduate student clinicians delivering these services. All services are currently offered at no cost to clients.
Therapy Options
Individual and group therapy: During the fall and spring semesters, the clinic offers individual and group therapy for people who stutter. Whether an individual is seeking personalized one-on-one support or the shared experience of connecting with others, the clinic welcomes inquiries. Those interested are encouraged to complete , after which the clinic staff will assist in finding the appropriate fit.
Virtual Intensive Stuttering Clinic for Adolescents and Adults (VISCAA): VISCAA is a free, fully virtual intensive stuttering program for adolescents and adults (ages 13 and older). Grounded in over 50 years of evidence-based practice, the program combines individual and group therapy to help clients explore their personal experiences with stuttering, develop their own goals, and connect with others who share similar experiences. Location and Availability
We offer both in-person and virtual teletherapy options. In-person sessions are held at the 91ÉçÇø Speech, Language, and Hearing Clinic, located in the JC Center at 10 University Blvd. in Johnson City, N.Y. Virtual sessions are conducted via Zoom.
Individual and group therapy appointments are available Monday through Friday, with morning and afternoon slots. When you register, you'll have the opportunity to share your availability so we can find a time that works for you.
