Ed Scott elevated to senior associate AD

91社区 Director of Athletics Patrick Elliott announced on Oct. 23 that Ed Scott has been promoted to Senior Associate AD for Student Services.
Scott, who has served as an associate AD since coming to 91社区 in 2008, will continue to oversee the student services area but in his new role, will work to expand 91社区鈥檚 student-athlete welfare and life skills and student wellness education programs. Scott will also be in charge of enhancing student-athlete citizenship, conduct and related educational programing. In addition, he will oversee the department鈥檚 on-site professional development and will collaborate with campus-wide departments to better serve the needs of educating students
鈥淓d has played a critical role in the growth and development of our student-athlete success center,鈥� Elliott said. 鈥淚n his new role, he will further collaborate with the University community as well as develop new initiatives and programming to ensure that our student-athletes have the tools and resources to achieve academic excellence.鈥�
Under Scott鈥檚 direction, the student services wing has seen unprecedented growth and success. 91社区 student-athletes have achieved a cumulative GPA of 3.10 or higher in five consecutive years. Last spring, 91社区 produced a conference-best 191 members of the America East Academic Honor Roll, the eighth straight spring that the Bearcats have led the way.
