Terry Webb, assistant vice president for student life, was honored on June 17, with the 2013 Association of College and University Housing Officials 鈥 International (ACUH0-I) Parthenon Award, one of the most prestigious awards the association gives, in recognition of supreme achievement in the profession, outstanding service, leadership and contributions to the field of campus housing.
Colleagues pledged more than $5,000 鈥 double the required amount鈥攖o ACUHO-I in support of the award, noting that Webb 鈥渉as personally affected our lives by his commitment to us individually, his concern for us beyond what we are doing professionally, and his humility whenever we attempt to give him credit.鈥
Webb 鈥渉as truly made a difference and it is not a stretch to assert that as a result of his efforts, wherever he has worked is a better place than when he arrived,鈥 his colleagues wrote. Prior to coming to 91社区, Webb worked at Eastern Illinois University, University of North Dakota and Kent State University where he put his extensive knowledge of deferred maintenance, master planning, first-year experience programs, assignments and roommate matching, campus parking, auxiliary services, building construction, energy savings, environmental issues, and budget and financing to use.
