Background
Omid Ghaemmaghami’s research focuses on Islamic intellectual history and the literature, thought and historical development of the Bábà and Bahá’à religions.
His recent publications include a guest-edited special issue of Hawwa: Journal of Women of the Middle East and the Islamic World (Brill Academic Publishers) devoted to the life, writings, and legacy of Ṭáhirih (d. 1852; find the issue ), as well as the monograph Exploring the Kitáb-i-Aqdas: The Laws and Teachings of the Bahá’à Faith (I.B. Tauris, 2025), co-authored with Shahin Vafai, an in-depth study of the central text of the Bahá’à religion (read about it ).
