6 Things You Don鈥檛 Want to Miss at Spring Fling 2024
Springhamton has officially arrived, which means it鈥檚 time for the best event of the year: Spring Fling! This year, festivities kick off at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 27.
Our annual festival is the perfect way to end a great semester. A little tip: it鈥檚 best to get an early start to hit as many tables and rides as possible. You can grab some food at the fest, chill with friends, then make your way to the concert at night! Trust me; you won鈥檛 want to miss out on all the fun.
Soak up the sunshine, relax before finals and celebrate! Here are some things to look forward to this year at Spring Fling:
Rides
During the day, Spring Fling is essentially a big carnival right here on campus! There will plenty of fun rides in the Peace Quad.
Games and Prizes
Carnival games will line the spine! If you and your friends love a little competition, this is the place to be.
Student Tabling
University clubs and organizations will be tabling down the spine and into the Peace Quad this year. Stop by to play some games, meet the members and explore your interests!
Food Trucks
There will be plenty of great carnival food at Spring Fling, but there will also be a few food trucks with delicious options like BBQ, mac and cheese, and sweets. Take a break from the rides and games, get some lunch and hang out in the sunshine!
Student Performance Stage
Every year, the Student Performance Stage welcomes talented groups from campus to showcase their skills. There will be dancers, bands, and a capella groups, so come support your fellow students!
Concert
The Spring Fling concert kicks off at 6 p.m. in the F1 lot near the Events Center!
The student opener, Husband Material, will take the stage at night before the headliners! Come dance, sing along and support some local talent!
Next up catch the Manhattan-based band , known for songs like 鈥淲e Switched Bodies鈥 and 鈥淵.K.Y.N.U.N.Y. (You Know You Need Unique New York).鈥
Headliner will close out the day and will have everyone dancing with pop-rock hits like 鈥淎nimal鈥 and 鈥淪leeping With a Friend鈥!
