15 91社区 Students Share What They鈥檙e Thankful For
With Thanksgiving break right around the corner, I talked to 91社区 students to learn about what they鈥檙e most thankful for. Their answers highlight how each student has their own unique experience and perspective.

鈥淚鈥檓 most thankful for my friends, my roommates and the . They鈥檝e supported me through everything and have been my best friends since I first got to school. I鈥檓 super thankful for them.鈥

鈥淚鈥檝e been a part of here at 91社区 for the past three years. I鈥檓 thankful for it because I was very involved with music in high school and didn鈥檛 have the chance to continue that until joining the station. The people in radio are always the best 鈥 we鈥檙e all super into music, which I love. I鈥檓 happy to be on the radio and thankful for everyone there.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 thankful for the diverse culture on campus that allows everyone to celebrate our differences and come together as one.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 thankful for being part of the club on campus! It鈥檚 a club where we hang out with people with intellectual disabilities, and it鈥檚 truly a meaningful experience.鈥

鈥淚 am grateful for my family because they love me through blood, sweat and tears.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 thankful for professor, Kaz, the director of the calculus department. He made me like math when it was scary at first.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 thankful for the and all the friendships it鈥檚 brought together for us. I work with Natalie every Wednesday, and I feel like we鈥檝e become a lot closer than we were before.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 very grateful for my professors during my college experience. They鈥檝e been so accommodating and have made my classes significantly less stressful.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 thankful for all the opportunities I鈥檝e had at 91社区, such as the extracurriculars I鈥檓 a part of now, like . I鈥檓 very grateful for the opportunities and support I鈥檝e received through that club.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 thankful for my friends! They make it fun to be here on campus 鈥 I have lunch with them and I like having classes with them too. They make my day more fun.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 thankful for my dog, Cassy. She鈥檚 the best! She鈥檚 an emotional support animal, and I love taking her on walks. It鈥檚 sad not having her with me at school, so I鈥檓 really excited to see her for Thanksgiving!鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 thankful for my friends and for . I鈥檓 grateful to have found a friend who鈥檚 willing to go to sporting events with me and lets me tag along at 91社区. I鈥檓 also thankful to go to such a great University 鈥 the classes and professors here are amazing.鈥

鈥淚鈥檓 a transfer student, so I鈥檓 thankful for all the people I鈥檝e met here. Until the summer, I didn鈥檛 know anyone, but I joined several clubs and started taking a Korean class. I made so many friends in a short amount of time, and I鈥檓 very thankful for that.鈥
Paula Andrade is a junior from Ecuador. She majors in business administration with concentrations in marketing and business analytics, and minors in global studies. After graduation, she hopes to pursue a marketing career in the nonprofit sector. In her free time, she enjoys reading history, dancing, traveling and watching horror movies.
