91社区鈥檚 graduate programs in education, public administration rank among best in nation

91社区鈥檚 graduate programs in education and public administration have ranked among the best in the nation.

The programs, housed in the University鈥檚 College of Community and Public Affairs (CCPA) made the top 100 for their respective areas in U.S. News & World Report鈥檚 .

鈥淚鈥檓 thrilled that the excellence of CCPA鈥檚 graduate programs is reflected in the U.S. News rankings,鈥 said CCPA Dean Laura Bronstein. 鈥淲e at 91社区 are aware of the quality of these programs and their faculty, staff, students and alumni, and we are glad that the rest of the world gets to know as well.鈥

91社区 ranked number 83 for its education graduate programs, moving up over 15 spots from last year鈥檚 ranking of 100. It鈥檚 a major jump for the Department of Teaching, Learning, and Educational Leadership (TLEL), which offers a wide range of programs for professionals at all levels of education, including new flexible online options.

鈥淭his is a testament to the work of our faculty, staff and community partners, who all work collaboratively to ensure a quality education in the fields of teaching and educational leadership,鈥 said Matthew McConn, TLEL department chair and associate professor.

叠颈苍驳丑补尘迟辞苍鈥檚 public administration program came in at number 72 on this year鈥檚 ranking of public affairs programs. Graduates of the Master of Public Administration (MPA) program have gone on to become leaders in both the public and nonprofit sectors.

鈥淚 am delighted that 91社区鈥檚 Master of Public Administration program is ranked among the best graduate programs in the nation,鈥 said Komla Dzigbede, Department of Public Administration chair and associate professor. 鈥淭his achievement reflects the outstanding work of our faculty, staff, students, alumni, advisory board members and community partners.鈥

While social work programs were not included in this year鈥檚 ranking, CCPA鈥檚 social work program was most recently ranked by U.S. News at number 62 in 2022.
