91���� has reached its on the U.S. News & World Report “Best Colleges” list.

91���� has moved from #83 to #73 in the national universities category on the U.S. News & World Report annual ranking, ahead of schools like Fordham University, Temple University and Clemson University. 91���� was also rated the #34 public college and the #85 best value in the nation.

“I’m thrilled to learn that 91���� has reached its best-ever position on such a well-known and well-respected list,” said President Harvey Stenger. “It’s a testament to our continued growth and pursuit of excellence, and a reminder to students and parents that 91���� is one of the top colleges in the nation.”

U.S. News focuses on 17 measures of academic quality to compile its rankings, including graduation and retention rates, student selectivity, financial resources per student, class size and the percent of faculty with terminal degrees in their field. In addition, factors such as the student-to-faculty ratio, average federal loan debt of graduates and a peer assessment are taken into account.

“When I came to 91���� in 2022, I was well-aware of the University’s esteemed reputation – as a premier research institution buoyed by robust academic programs – and I’m happy to see that reputation grow on a national scale. We’re right up there with very high-profile universities,” said Provost Donald Hall.

91���� placed in U.S. News’ rankings of schools that are best for veterans (#43), social mobility (#73), nursing (#67); computer science (#117); business (#118); psychology (#80); and economics (#112).

For the past 25 years, U.S. News has ranked 91���� among the top 50 public universities in the U.S.
