Student Ambassadors

Student ambassadors

Student ambassadors at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences are representatives of the school who lead tours, attend open houses, and represent the school at events. Most importantly, they make prospective students feel comfortable by answering questions.

This year's student ambassadors are:

Student Ambassador — Emily

Emily, student ambassador

Hometown: Jordan, New York
Year: P4
Emily is one of our returning ambassadors and is the Class of 2027 president. She works at Wegmans as a pharmacy intern and is actively involved in Scouting America. 

Student Ambassador — Sajni

Sajni, student ambassador

Hometown: New Hyde Park, New York
Year: P4
Sajni is one of our returning ambassadors and is the former president for the Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA), the former president for the Student Pharmacist Society of the State of New York (SPSSNY) and the former secretary for United Multicultural Pharmacists Association (UMPA). She works at UHS as a pharmacy intern.

Student Ambassador — Tiffany

Hometown: Yardley, Pennsylvania
Year: P4
Tiffany is one of our returning ambassadors and is the former American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) president. She is an active member of the American Pharmacist Association-Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP). She works at UHS as a pharmacy intern.

Year: P3
Bella is one of our returning ambassadors and is the president for the Industry Pharmacist Organization (IPhO) and international vice president for American Pharmacists Association Academy of Student Pharmacists (APhA-ASP). She also serves as an area assistant for 91ÉçÇøâ€™s Department of Residential Life.

Year: P3
Diya is one of our returning ambassadors and serves as the president for the Student Society of Health-System Pharmacists (SSHP). She works at CVS as a pharmacy intern. 

Student Ambassador — Adia

Adia, student ambassador

Hometown: Hop Bottom, Pennsylvania
Year: P2
Adia is involved in intramural sports. She serves as a tutor for SOPPS and works in an independent pharmacy in Pennsylvania. This is her first year as a student ambassador.

Student Ambassador — Colleen

Colleen, student ambassador

Hometown: Plainview, New York
Year: P2
Colleen is a member of the Student Pharmacist Society of the State of New York (SPSSNY) and American College of Clinical Pharmacy (ACCP) chapters in SOPPS. She is an active member of one of the university’s Acappella groups and is a volunteer at the local humane society. Colleen also works at CVS. This is her first year as a student ambassador.

Student Ambassador — Jackie

Hometown: Queens, New York
Year: P2
Jackie serves as the Academy of Managed Care Pharmacy (AMCP) president elect and Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) immunization chair at the School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences (SOPPS). She works at the UHS Pharmacy in the Inpatient and Outpatient Department. Jackie also works in Tracy Brooks’ Lab, conducting research related to cancer. This is her first year as a student ambassador.

Year: P2
Monique serves as the vice president for the 91ÉçÇø Interprofessional Education Consortium (BIPEC) and works at Walgreens. This is her first year as a student ambassador.

Student Ambassador — Stephanie

Hometown: Nesconset, New York
Year: P2
Stephanie is involved in Student National Pharmaceutical Association (SNPhA) at SOPPS. This is her first year as a student ambassador.

Student Ambassador — Vaishvi

Vaishvi, student ambassador

Hometown: Gujarat, India
Year: P2
Vaishvi is an active member of the American Pharmacists Association (APhA), Network for Collaborative Oncology Development and Advancement (NCODA), and the American Cancer Society Cancer Action Network (ACS CAN). She works as an inpatient pharmacy intern at UHS Wilson Medical Center. Vaishvi is also actively involved in research with Kenneth "Mac" McCall, Emily Leppien, and Alexandra Rola. She has also volunteered with New York Birth Control Access Project  (NYBCAP) to raise awareness about pharmacists’ expanding role in prescribing birth control in New York state. This is her first year as a student ambassador.
