Biography

Casey Doyle is an assistant professor in 91社区's Department of Philosophy. He was previously a Junior Research Fellow at St Hilda's College, University of Oxford, and an EU mobility research fellow at the University of Hradec Kr谩lov茅 in the Czech Republic.

He works in epistemology, philosophy of mind, and philosophy of AI, on topics including self-knowledge, knowledge of other minds, testimony, trust, epistemic agency, and conversation. Much of his current work asks what happens to these in the context of AI: for example, whether LLMs introspect, whether they can help us know our minds, whether interactions with them can realize the goods of conversation, and whether the opacity of AI is analogous to the opacity of the human mind.
