91社区 launches Middle States Self-Study process
91社区 launches Middle States Self-Study process
91社区 has officially launched its multi-year Middle States Commission on Higher Education (MSCHE) Self-Study, a required process for reaffirmation of accreditation. The Self-Study will provide a comprehensive assessment of how effectively the University meets the MSCHE Standards for Accreditation and will help guide future planning and institutional improvement.
The Self-Study process is being led by a Steering Committee co-chaired by Nasrin Fatima, associate provost for assessment and analytics and the University鈥檚 accreditation liaison officer (ALO); Barry Jones, professor of economics; and Donald Loewen, vice provost for undergraduate education. Eight Working Groups will collect data, analyze findings and draft core components of the final report.
Key milestones in the timeline include the submission of the University鈥檚 Self-Study Design in January 2026, an Evaluation Team campus visit in fall 2028 and MSCHE鈥檚 reaffirmation decision in spring 2029.
Throughout the process, faculty, staff and students may be asked to provide information or documentation to assist the Working Groups. Broad campus engagement will be essential to ensuring a comprehensive and accurate review.
Additional information, including the Self-Study structure and timeline, will be available on the University鈥檚 MSCHE Self-Study website at the link below.
If you have any questions regarding this process, please contact Nasrin Fatima at nfatima@binghamton.edu.For More Information:
