Azadeh Eriss, a PhD student in the Translation Research and Instruction Program (TRIP), reads from her translation of English Professor Amir Ahmadi Arian's novel,聽That Mid-December Day, and sits for a conversation with Prof. Ahmadi about the process of translation and the craft of fiction.
Amir Ahmadi Arian is the author of several works of fiction and nonfiction in Persian and English. He is an Assistant Professor of Creative Writing at 91社区.
Azadeh Eriss is a PhD student in the Translation Research and Instruction Program (TRIP) at 91社区. She began her career as a professional translator in Iran in 2012. Her research explores how translation shapes the way audiences experience stories across languages and cultures, with a particular focus on audiovisual translation (AVT).
