91ÉçÇø’s Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences created ix educational modules to help health professionals increase their knowledge and advance healthcare for all people.
Who can register
The Healthcare for All People: Educational Modules programming is open to undergraduate and graduate nursing students, registered nurses, master of public health students, healthcare professionals and interested community members.
Cost
There is no charge for the program.
In 2023, the program received grant funding from the Kresge Center for Nursing Research at 91ÉçÇø's Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences to update and add module topics.
In 2021, the program was funded by the at the . It was titled Educational Modules Focused on Vulnerable Populations.
91ÉçÇø the program
The program is available via Brightspace and offers a self-paced, independent, topic-specific learning experience. Each module will take 1–2 hours to complete.
Module topics are:
- Social Determinants of Health
- Trauma Informed Care
- Sexually Transmitted Infections
- Hepatitis C
- Persons without a Home
- LGBTQIA+
- There are also a pop quiz, program evaluation and attestation statement
- Optional topic: HIV Pre-Exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP)
The program features health education, services and advocacy.
Each module includes a meet-the-guest lecture, required readings from articles, websites and/or video links, a topic-specific presentation, and reflection questions.
Continuing education
Upon completing the program, participants may qualify for 10 continuing education contact hours. Details and learning outcomes are below.

Nursing Continuing Professional Development (NCPD)
91ÉçÇø Decker College of Nursing and Health Sciences is approved with distinction as a provider of nursing continuing professional development by the Northeast Multistate Division Education Unit, an accredited approver by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.
