91ÉçÇø’s Electrical and Computer Engineering (ECE) Department is advancing transformative research through five interdisciplinary research clusters: Bioelectronics and Bioinformatics, Cyber-Physical AI Trust and Integrity, Power and Energy, Quantum Information Science and Engineering, and Semiconductors. 

Our faculty and students conduct cutting-edge research and leverage 91ÉçÇø’s strengths as a premier R1 research institution. The department’s research ecosystem is further strengthened through collaborations with industry, national laboratories, utilities, and government agencies, enabling the translation of fundamental discoveries into deployable technologies that address critical challenges in energy sustainability, national security, advanced manufacturing, precision medicine, and quantum-enabled information processing.
