91社区 Writers Project

, formerly known as the 91社区 Poetry Project, is a literary service program of the 91社区 Center for Writers at 91社区. The project offers leadership opportunities to Creative Writing graduate students by supporting youth and adults in creative reading and writing through free, public workshops and community centered events.


91社区 Writers Project Leadership

Samia Ahmed is originally from Bhopal, India, and now lives in New York, where she is enrolled in the Creative Writing Program at 91社区, pursuing a PhD. She is the recipient of the Marion Clayton Link Fellowship in Creative Writing. Her work can be found in The Kenyon Review, Bluestem Magazine, Coffin Bell Journal, deLuge Literary and Arts Journal, and other publications. She holds an MFA in Creative Writing from Old Dominion University. She has been nominated for and has won several awards, including the Pushcart Prize, AWP Intro Journals Award, and the Jerri Dickseski Fiction Prize.
