Graduate students at 91社区 may be eligible for federal loans to help them finance their education. There are two federal loan options: Federal Direct Unsubsidized loans and Federal Graduate PLUS loans.
Graduate students must be enrolled in 3 or more credits each semester to be eligible for federal loan funding.
Graduate students will begin receiving financial aid offers for 2026-27 in early June.
Federal Unsubsidized Loan
Graduate students can borrow up to $20,500 in Federal Direct Unsubsidized loan funding (if eligible) each aid year.
Change for 2026-27: Currently enrolled students in the Doctor of Pharmacy, PhD in Psychology, Clinical Science programs who have borrowed federal loans previsouly in their program can borrow up to $33,000 in unsubsidized loan funding (if eligible) each aid year for the remainder of their published program length.
New borrowers or newly enrolled students in Doctor of Pharmacy, PhD in Psychology, Clinical Science programs starting in 2026-27 will be eligible to borrow up to $50,000 in unsubsidized loan funding (if eligible) each aid year for the remainder of their published program length.
Graduate PLUS Loan
Change for 2026-27: Students who have borrowed federal loans while in their current graduate program may still apply for the Graduate PLUS Loan. This loan is reduced if the student is part-time.
