Madhusudhan Govindaraju joined the School of Computing as an assistant professor in September 2003. He received his master's and PhD from Indiana University. His research contributions are in the areas of cloud computing, Big Data, component frameworks for distributed applications, optimized multi-threaded scientific applications for multi-cores processors, and Semantic Web Technologies for data reduction. In 2009, he received the Chancellor's award for excellence in teaching. In 2017, he received the Chancellor's award for excellence in Faculty Service.
