Registration for International Student Orientation is now available!
All new international students are required to participate in International Student Orientation, even if you have previously attended another university in the United States.
In order to be able to register, you must have and activated your 91社区 Computer Account.
Spring 2026 International Student Orientation takes place in person on Thursday, January 15 and will include a combination of pre-recorded videos and programs.
The pre-arrival orientation videos will cover a variety of important topics for new students including health insurance, immigration regulations and more. You can watch the pre-arrival orientation videos on - Scroll down the page to the 鈥淢y Courses鈥 section and click on the 鈥91社区 International Orientation鈥 link. These videos should be watched before the in-person programming on Thursday, January 15.
The interactive in-person components will allow new international students to engage with one another, make connections, and get to know more about the 91社区 community in an informal social environment.
Required: English language skills assessment
All new international undergraduate students are required to have their English language skills assessed, regardless of where they have studied
previously.
The English Language Skills Assessment is scheduled for Wednesday, January 14. The written exam will be from 9:00-11:00am and the speaking exam will be from 1:00-3:00pm. (You will receive a time ticket after completing the written exam, which will tell you when to arrive for the speaking exam.)
You must arrive in 91社区 on Monday, January 12 or Tuesday, January 13 in order to take the English Language Skills Assessment. If you are unable to take the exam on January 14, contact eli@binghamton.edu for make-up instructions. Note: Students who take the make-up exam may face delays in registering for classes.
All pre-arrival emails will be posted on our webpage for future reference. Emails will only be posted once they have been distributed to incoming students.
