National Institutes of Health (NIH)
Use of Common Forms (Biographical Sketch, NIH Biographical Supplement and Current and Pending (Other) Support) and SciENcv is required effective May 8, 2026.
If you have questions about the NIH Biographical Sketch Supplement, is some additional information and instructions for completing the supplemental form.
Additionally, NIH will require that all senior/key personnel on an application certify they have completed research security training within 12 months of the date of application submission. This certification will be done via the Biographical Sketches completed by senior/key personnel in SciENcv. This requirement will be effective for all applications submitted for due dates on or after May 25, 2026.

NIH will only accept six new, renewal, resubmission or revision applications from an individual Principal Investigator/Program Director or Multiple Principal Investigator for all council rounds in a calendar year.
National Science Foundation (NSF)

NSF continues to be in effect for all NSF proposals.
NSF is deferring release of the 26-1 version of the PAPPG (Proposal and Award Policies and Procedures Guide.) Policy revisions will be issued via supplemental Policy Notices. The information set out in the notices will take precedence over existing policies and procedures in the PAPPG 24-1.
