End-of-year juries
As part of the course of study in the Musical Theatre BFA program, students will undergo juried performances at the end of each semester by presenting a prepared slate of audition material for the musical theatre faculty.
Jury requirements:
- First year, fall: one song and one monologue
- First year, spring: two contrasting songs (one up-tempo and one ballad) and one monologue
- Sophomore year, fall: two contrasting songs (one up-tempo and one ballad) and one monologue
- Sophomore year, spring: two contrasting songs (one up-tempo and one ballad) and two monologues (one comedic and one dramatic)
- Junior year, fall: two songs and one monologue
- Junior year, spring: four contrasting songs (including at least one up-tempo and one ballad) and two contrasting monologues (including one piece with heightened language)
- Senior year, fall: two contrasting songs and two monologues
- Senior year, spring: four contrasting songs and two contrasting monologues
