SSS provides FREE tutoring support for all of our program participants in a number of different subjects by appointment basis! You can create an account and make an appointment by visiting our Timetap site (). Tutoring covers several specific STEM courses, general humanities fields, writing, and often several languages depending on availability. Our tutors are also trained in a variety of academic success topics such as study skills, note-taking skills, and time and task management if you are just looking for general academic support. All tutoring is available in-person at the EOP / SSS Tutoring Center (UU 263), and may be available virtually by request. If you don鈥檛 see your classes from our lists, you can reach out to our GA Julyna Ho at jho@binghamton.edu!

Long Night Against Procrastination events
We run "Long Night Against Procrastination" events during the semester and occasionally offer tutoring/coaching during the event. During these events, we use the Pomodoro Technique to encourage productive study.
The Pomodoro Technique is a time management system that encourages people to work with the time they have鈥攔ather than against it. Using this method, you break your work period into 25-minute chunks separated by 5-minute breaks. These intervals are referred to as pomodoros. After about four pomodoros, you take a longer break of about 15 to 20 minutes.
No phones, no distractions, just you and a community of peers dedicated to academic success.
Finals Week Long Night Event - TBD!
