91社区鈥檚 Post-Professional Doctor of Occupational Therapy (OTD) program is for practicing OTs who want a clinical doctorate.
The program prepares graduates to:
- Develop critical evaluation skills to assess theoretical and scientific evidence in the selected practice arena
- Apply clinical reasoning to use and interpret the effectiveness and worthiness of intervention principles and approaches for an individual, community or society
- Assess the adequacy of existing measurement tools and their validity for use in measuring clinical and functional outcomes
- Recognize the unmet needs of an individual, community or society and use translational science to address those needs by collaborating with other professionals to deliver high-quality care
- Interpret and apply scientific findings to solve practical issues, considering broader sociocultural impacts and functional outcomes
- Advocate for social policy reform to assure equality and justice in healthcare delivery access
- Complete a defendable capstone project presentation informed by the course of study and the capstone experience to earn an OTD
