Dr. Debora Jane Elliott '76 High-Impact Learning Endowment
The Dr. Debora Jane Elliott '76 High-Impact Learning Endowment was established through the generosity of alumna Dr. Deborah Elliot Ward 鈥76 to provide psychology majors with financial assistance to participate in clinical internships or support for externships, research experiences, or support to attend conferences.

The deadline to apply is Monday, October 12, 2026.
What can the funds be used for?
- Clinical Internships or externships
- Research related to clinical psychology
- Support to attend conferences related to the field
Who is eligible?
- Psychology Majors Only
Criteria for selection
Applications will be evaluated by the selection committee to determine whether they demonstrate that the applicant will use the funding for a worthy educational pursuit. In evaluating applications, the committee will consider:
- Clarity, thoughtfulness, and thoroughness of application answers.
- Whether the budget is well-planned and will enable the applicant to complete the pursuit economically.
- How the educational pursuit will benefit the student and contribute to the applicant's personal and intellectual growth.

- Applications must be submitted by the deadline in the fall of each semester. Due Date: Monday, October 12, 2026
- Please note the application is processed through the 鈥淗arpur Edge Student Funding Request鈥 portal. In the event you do not receive funding from the Dr. Debora Jane Elliott '76 High-Impact Learning Endowment, you may be eligible to receive support from one of the other funds in Harpur Edge.
- Applicants may be contacted to schedule an interview or provide additional information.
- The maximum award amount is $2,000.
- Two awards are available annually.
- Award recipients will be required to provide a summary of the impact of their funded experience(s) to be shared annually with the donor.
- Award recipients are required to submit all original documentation (receipts) after participating in the activity. If the total amount (in US dollars) of the documentation is less than the advanced amount noted above, unused funds must be returned. Any undocumented funds will be considered taxable income by the federal government.
