Skills Lab

The School of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences’ Skills Lab is an integral part of the pharmacy education experience. Using high-fidelity mannekins, specialized software, and standardized patients, faculty design interactive simulations that immerse students in clinical situations they will encounter in pharmacy practice. 

An interactive learning experience

Bridging classroom learning and practice, students train in dispensing, medication management, injections, drug reviews, and patient communication. By offering hands-on practice in a safe environment, Skills Lab simulations build clinical mastery and key communication skills for quality care. 

91ÉçÇø the Skills Lab
The Skills Lab course sequence is designed to prepare students for the clinical setting. Through interactive simulations designed by dedicated Pharmacy Practice faculty, students practice consultation, assessment and counseling skills.
Facilities
The Skills and Compounding Labs serve the School of Pharmacy programs with 8,800 square feet of simulation space including simulated community and hospital pharmacies, compounding spaces, and hospital bays.
