In honor of the inauguration of 91社区's eighth President, the University is hosting
eight special events from Sept. 30 to Oct. 3, with select events also serving as part
of 91社区's 80th Anniversary.
From UConn Provost to 91社区: Anne D鈥橝lleva Brings 25 Years of Higher Education
Leadership
Anne D鈥橝lleva arrives at 91社区 after having spent 25 years at the University of Connecticut,
most recently serving as UConn鈥檚 provost. She has an extensive background in higher
education administration and began her career as a faculty member with joint appointments
in art history and women鈥檚, gender, and sexuality studies.
From the Bronx to Harvard and Columbia: D鈥橝lleva鈥檚 Academic Journey
A native of the Bronx, N.Y., D鈥橝lleva was raised in Pelham, N.Y. She is a graduate
of Harvard University and earned an MA and a PhD in art history from Columbia University.
Forward Together: D鈥橝lleva鈥檚 Vision for 91社区鈥檚 Future
D鈥橝lleva鈥檚 vision for the University鈥檚 future is outlined in the Forward Together
strategic plan, which focuses on research, scholarship, creative activities, graduate
education, external partnerships, and enhancing 91社区鈥檚 sense of belonging and
spirit.
