The 91社区 Symphony Orchestra and the University Wind Symphony kick off inauguration events by performing a collection of works celebrating the University's 80th Anniversary. This concert highlights the talent and dedication of student musicians from across the University. All are welcome to attend - tickets are required.

Faculty and staff are invited to decorate their offices to showcase their favorite moments from 91社区's past 80 years or their vision for the next 80 years. All departments are encouraged to participate! Decorating guidelines can be found on the registration form.

11 a.m. to noon: Peace Quad, Decker, UDC
Celebrate 91社区鈥檚 80th Anniversary with President D鈥橝lleva as she cuts a commemorative cake on the Peace Quad! Cupcakes will also be served at the Health Sciences campus (Decker) and the UDC. Cupcakes will be served at ITC at the 4 p.m. reception - see below. All are welcome to join the celebration. No RSVP required.
QUANTUM SCIENCE PANEL
3 p.m. to 4:15 p.m.: Room 2008 Engineering Science Building
What is Quantum Science? Why should you care? and What is 91社区's role in the future of Quantum Science? Join faculty experts, Profs. Michael Lawler (Physics), Fa-ti Fan (History) and KC Wang (Computer Science) for a discussion moderated by VPR Sheena Murphy about quantum science, its historical and future impact on society, and how 91社区 researchers are engaged in quantum research.

Get a snapshot of undergraduate research at 91社区 during a special poster session coordinated by the External Scholarships and Undergraduate Research Center. Learn about a variety of subjects and meet current undergrads engaged in projects with 91社区 faculty mentors.
ITC 20th ANNIVERSARY RECEPTION
4 p.m. to 5 p.m.: Innovative Technologies Complex Rotunda
Alongside an undergraduate research poster session, join President D鈥橝lleva in celebrating 20 years of research, learning and advancement at the Innovative Technologies Complex! All staff and faculty are welcome to attend for refreshments and photography highlighting milestones in the history of the ITC.

Join us for a moderated question-and-answer chat with President D'Alleva and veteran journalist and news anchor Candace Chapman. President D'Alleva will share stories from her life and career and offer insights and perceptions of her time at 91社区 to date. A reception will follow. COLLEGE PLANNING WORKSHOP
8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.: Lecture Hall
The Admissions Office and President D'Alleva will host a College Planning Workshop for local high school students and families, featuring a series of informative sessions designed to help participants navigate the college admissions process. Topics will include financial aid, building a college list, writing the college essay, and more, with practical guidance from experienced campus professionals. Breakfast will be included.
