What is an inauguration?
A distinguished ceremony and series of events marking the appointment of a new president. This occasion honors the University鈥檚 history and celebrates the beginning of an important new chapter in its future.
When and where will the inauguration take place?
The ceremony will take place in the Anderson Center Osterhout Theater on Friday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. Tickets are required.

What is the dress code?
Attire will be determined by your role at the ceremony.
Processional participants: Wear your regalia attire to the ceremony. You may want to have a change of clothes for the reception afterwards to ensure comfort.
General Audience: Business casual attire is the recommended dress code.
Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends who are not attending the ceremony: Feel free to wear your best Green Day Friday attire and showcase your school spirit!
What is the bag policy at the ceremony?
No bags larger than a small handbag will be permitted in the venue. No backpacks or large bags are permitted.
How long is the ceremony?
The ceremony is expected to be 90 minutes.
Where can I park for the ceremony?
Parking will be available in Lot F1 for all guests unless otherwise instructed. Lot C is available for Accessibility parking.
We encourage University employees to park where you typically park that morning to avoid additional congestion around the time of the ceremony. Employees - refer to Dateline for additional information.
Is there a shuttle available?
Shuttles will be available between the main entrance of the Anderson Center, the reception, Lot C and Lot F1. Look for the "Shuttle Stop" signs.
