What is an inauguration?

A distinguished ceremony and series of events marking the appointment of a new president. This occasion honors the University鈥檚 history and celebrates the beginning of an important new chapter in its future.

When and where will the inauguration take place?

The ceremony will take place in the Anderson Center Osterhout Theater on Friday, Oct. 2 at 11 a.m. Tickets are required.

What is the dress code?

Attire will be determined by your role at the ceremony. 

Processional participants: Wear your regalia attire to the ceremony. You may want to have a change of clothes for the reception afterwards to ensure comfort.

General Audience: Business casual attire is the recommended dress code.

Students, faculty, staff, alumni and friends who are not attending the ceremony:  Feel free to wear your best Green Day Friday attire and showcase your school spirit!

How long is the ceremony?

The ceremony is expected to be 90 minutes.
